The Cup Zone

September 18-21, 2008 Noon-8 pm Daily

The cornerstone event planned by the Louisville Host Committee will be held at the Kentucky International Convention Center in the heart of downtown Louisville within walking distance from most hotels. The Cup Zone will be open daily September 18-21. The Zone is multifunctional and will include entertainment, refreshments, demonstrations, lessons, activities, golf equipment and products, a travel pavilion, loads of exhibitors and more. Individuals and families can partake in numerous interactive stations including "The Children's Learn to Golf Trail," Kentucky's largest indoor demo driving range, swing analyzers, video games and contests. There will be a performance stage and multiple large screens available for watching the Ryder Cup live and via highlights.

Components of The Cup Zone

• National Golf Exhibitors: Meet the manufacturers of golf equipment, golf-related products and golf inventions. See the latest in equipment and apparel, purchase exquisite golf gifts or pick up that collector print. Book travel and buy apparel for the trip. Both retail sales and exhibits will be featured.
• Golf Driving Range, Simulators & Swing Analyzers: This netted indoor golf driving range and simulators offer the golf enthusiast an opportunity to demo new product lines from various golf equipment manufacturers.
• Travel Pavilion: This mini-village will showcase a variety of travel opportunities to some of the most exclusive golf courses, resorts and extreme vacations. Connoisseurs and travel enthusiasts will not want to miss this opportunity. Resorts, CVB's, transportation providers, tour guides, event planners and resort real estate communities will entice all that stop by. Zone exclusive travel packages will be available.
• Entertainment Stage: From the Irish flute to Bluegrass and ethnic dancers, spectators will be entertained with the sounds and sights of the Cup. This designated area with seating, food and drink will be the favored spot to stake out a good seat and mingle with our international guests.
• The Ultimate Golf Clinic: Casual and serious golfers alike can improve their game with the ultimate golf lesson from some of the best golf instructors in the country.
• The Children's Learn to Golf Trail: This chaperoned trail accommodates 15 to 20 children at a time for great fun, while they learn the fundamentals of golf. A unique trail with lesson stations will expose them to the grip, stance, swing and variety of the strokes used in a typical golf game.
