A terrific all-around athlete born without a left hand, Bobby Boca rode motorcycles, snowmobiles and jet skis, played basketball and racquet sports - including playing on the professional racquet ball circuit - until his father suggested golf. Starting his links career at age 36 playing right-handed from the right side, Baca has made remarkable strides, culminating with a 2008 NAOAGA Championship in the assisted division at Fuzzy Zoeller's Covered Bridge Golf Club in Sellersburg, Indiana. He won the same honors in 2007 at Stallion Mountain GC in Las Vegas. He practices regularly with the goal of being competitive in able-bodied tournaments and aspires someday to play a round with Tiger Woods - with Woods using only his right arm. Bobby's best round was a 73 gross at the Pete Dye designed Paiute Golf Resort in Las Vegas, and he credits his mother as his inspiration in life. "When the nurse brought me to my mother, the doctor told her not to baby me, to let me learn to do things my own way." His most memorable moment came in the third grade when his father gave in to constant badgering and bought a pair of motorcycles for the two to ride. The younger Baca taught himself to use the clutch without a left hand, another sign that Bobby "does not consider myself as handicapped."
